Allow me to officially introduce you to my most recent book…
En las Fauces del Olvido, and if you flip it, In the Jaws of Oblivion, for this book is bilingual, and that makes me quite delighted, as so is my brain.
Most of the poems I write are in Spanish but I also write in English, and like to combine the two as completely different voices in my poetry. So yey for bilingual people!
The book is actually a second edition of En las Fauces del Olvido, as the first one was published with a different edition also by La Impresora.
This book, published in a limited edition of 200 and handmade with risograph prints in Puerto Rico by La Impresora, was then shipped to New York, and then delivered to Colombia where I was participating in the Poetry Festival of Medellin. Afterwards, I traveled with it to Sweden to participate in the Jönköping Festival of Poetry, and then returned here to Copenhagen, where I have presented it in several venues. What’s next? New York. And that will be that for this edition.
There’s still some copies left. If you’d like to get your hands on one, contact me.
Viva la poesia!
And here’s a screenshot from @LaImpresora , while they were making the book:
All my love and gratitude to La Impresora for believing in my work and agreeing to my crazy proposals, and to Nicole and Amanda who are making an incredible project in the middle of a post-hurricane Puerto Rico, something I am very moved and inspired by.
Currently in progress, a new bilingual edition of En las Fauces del Olvido, my poetry book published last year by La Impresora in Puerto Rico and released in Mexico and Guatemala… But this time, in English AND Spanish and with riso print color illustrations, which you can preview below.
The book will be available in Colombia in July during my tour… and upon my return, in Denmark and US – Puerto Rico through La Impresora.
Get Ritual, (Neverstop performance series) -Copenhagen, 2011.
Neverstop is a performance-based project that fusions various phases and forms of media production and performance while interacting with communities for a public exchange of art expressions and creative work elements. “Get Ritual” is the first video in a series. The second one is tentatively called “A Show of Hands” and preparation for this is underway in Baltimore.
The performances and videos are instigated by Brandon Davis, a musician and artist from various times and places. Davis has spent the last few years traveling and working with musicians, artists and collectives in an effort to bring awareness to the size and shape of the community that was referred to in older times as “underground culture.”
NEVERSTOP FINAL PRODUCT:
The final result is an ongoing series of performances, installations and media production, involving: records and online content, (mp3s, pdfs, a blog, a Youtube channel and more) books, movies, short films, object books and catalogs to document the project.

Reaffirm your origins, be proud of your culture, of your talent, of your fears, doubts, and emotions. Share them. Urban intervention, poetry in everything we see and do, no dress code. The proposal of RDNY has been created as an approach of interaction. Information and rebirth through culture and technology, in each page, in each segment. Take this space as an invitation to step out of the box, break the format and the royal run around, and take some action. Show us what you’re made of, how your life is changing others, give everyone a chance to come in and be a part of your projects, your dreams, your story. The time has come to quit complaining about the big charade of past-due concepts, useless policies, traditions, formality, square fairy-tales. Throw them out the window and walk inside the red door. Undress code exposed.
Give us raw, fresh, clean, simple truth. Question identity. Intrepid Self Expression. Reinvention. Rebellion. Recklessness. Conscience. Visual Eloquence. (and all that good stuff). All we ask for is to finally see art frolicking with reality. We exist.
